Chapter 699 Molly's Husband

Susan and Shawn's excitement took a hit; they had imagined the cherry orchard would be out in the middle of nowhere.

Since Teddy's last bout of cold and fever, Vera had been extra cautious about going out.

Back in the bedroom, she gathered Teddy's clothes, hat, a light blanket, a quilt, and his special lotion-an entire bag full of Teddy's things.

Molly lounged in the passenger seat of Sebastian's car, watching her busy family members while she relaxed like an outsider.

"Sebastian, should I be doing something?" Molly asked, leaning against the window.

Sebastian glanced at the excited Susan and Shawn and replied, "Just stay in the car. If you need anything, ask Susan to get it."

Molly then called out to Susan, "Susan, be a dear and get me some sunscreen."

Susan turned around and shouted, "Aunt Molly, do you want lotion or spray?"

Molly looked at Sebastian and smiled, "Either is fine."

So, Susan brought both.

When they set off, Shawn sat in the back of the car with Randall and Susan.

On the way, Randall couldn't help but comment, "Susan, your dress looks great, but we're going cherry-picking. Are you planning to use your dress to carry cherries?"

Susan pulled a large plastic bag from her pocket, "No, I brought a bag." Randall was speechless; Susan had completely missed his point.

Shawn looked at Susan with increasing satisfaction, "Susan, you think of everything. Even Grandpa isn't as thorough as you."

Susan smiled, "I've wanted to go for a while, but Randall always has plans on the weekends, so I didn't want to bother him." She almost said "library" but quickly changed it to "plans."

Randall glanced back at Susan, who was keeping his secret, and smiled.

Shawn grumbled at Randall, "You spend all your time playing and never focus on important things."
