After she had said that, she turned around with the bouquet of baby’s breath in her arms and headed toward the inpatient department.

However, when she went over earlier, she couldn’t find him. It was only after she had gone to the nurse’s station that she learned he was moved to a single ward.

She reckoned it was his family who specially arranged for it upon learning of the situation, fearing that their child would suffer.

In an instant, Joseph put down his phone. His joy was palpable as he stood up and exclaimed, “Ms. Thorne! You’re here!”

With a gentle smile, Lysander replied, “Indeed. I’ve got no choice since I promised to come and visit you. How are you feeling today? Are your wounds still hurting?”
