Jeremy stroked Corinne’s head adoringly as he spoke.

Jeremy glanced at the clothes that Corinne would only wear in private before snatching them. “I took them off her. We were just doing a little catch-up last night. Surely that’s allowed, right?” he said calmly.

Corinne covered her face with her hands. ‘God, this is so embarrassing! How can I ever show my face around these people anymore?’ she thought, her lips trembling. ‘Ugh! Jeremy shouldn’t have said everything, too! Has he no shame?’
