Chapter 244

Evelyn's eyes blazed with fury as she stormed over, her steps determined and purposeful. With one swift kick, she scattered the fruits and cake laid lovingly in front of Charlie's tombstone, sending them flying.

She turned to Charles, her eyes bloodshot with anger, and lashed out, "Charles, are you serious? You didn't even try to get justice for Charlie. Did you bring Dahlia, the murderer, to her grave to make her memory suffer? Do you even deserve to call yourself a father?"

Evelyn's body trembled with rage. Her teeth clenched tightly. "And you want my Charlie to be reborn as your daughter? Are you even worthy of that?"

The thought of Charlie being reborn as Charles' daughter was the ultimate betrayal in Evelyn's eyes. Consumed by anger, she hurled the thermos she was holding straight at Charles' head, wishing for a moment that he would just disappear from her sight.

Charles panicked and was caught off guard by Evelyn's sudden appearance and the fury in her eyes. He instinctively stood up, trying to explain himself, but the thermos hit him squarely in the chest. Evelyn had thrown it with such force that Charles let out a pained groan. The impact jolted through his already heartbroken chest. Blood trickled slowly from the corner of his mouth as he staggered, struggling to maintain his balance.
