Wyatt looked up and took one long look at Asher. Then, his gaze shifted past Asher and landed on Arnold.

A while later, Wyatt said, "I need a word alone with you, Ash."

Wyatt and Asher remained in the ward.

With his back facing Asher, Wyatt looked out the window in long silence.

The angry grilling, yelling, and criticism did not come down on Asher as he expected.

In fact, the silence tore him up inside.

"Everything you saw is true, Dad. I'm sorry."

Asher broke the silence, hanging his head low. "I let you down for the years you raised and taught me. I fell short of your expectations. It's all my fault. I only ask that you don't put this on Arnold." Wyatt kept to himself.

Asher slowly straightened his back. "I know that I just gave KS Group a huge problem to deal with. I'll hand in my resignation tomorrow, manage the handover, and withdraw from the board of directors." Wyatt jolted to his feet from the wheelchair and lost his balance. He quickly grabbed onto the windowsill to keep his balance.
