Chapter 167
Chapter 167
Right at that moment.
Olivia and Gideon were on route to Blueway Asylum.
As they settled into the car, Gideon handed over the information he had gathered.
Olivia skimmed through it, quickly gaining a basic understanding of the asylum.
The Blueway Asylum was located in the northern suburbs of Melburgh.
It wasn’t generally open to the public due to its unique patient profile.
Even family members needed to book in advance to visit.
So, sneaking in for an investigation would be a tough nut to cr ack.
However, as luck would have it, the hospital had been receiving funds from the International Council of Nonprofits for the past three years.
As Olivia reviewed the files, a plan began to crystallize in her mind.
“Gideon, let’s ring up the hospital in the name of the International Council of Nonprofits.”
“Understood, Miss Clarke,” he replied.
“And about our attire,” she paused, “we might need a little change.”
Olivia looked at Gideon playfully.
Half an hour later.
The car approached the destination.
Olivia, after a brief makeover, was clad in a chic business suit, her wavy hair elegantly tied up, her face lightly touched with makeup, and her eyes framed by large black glasses.
She looked every bit the eager young professional.
As they pulled up, she noticed a welcoming committee of sorts at the hospital entrance. Parking the car smoothly, she gracefully moved to Gideon’s side, opening the door for him.
“Mr. Parson, we’ve arrived!” Olivia announced, adjusting her glasses in a deliberately exaggerated manner, and bowing slightly towards Gideon inside the car.
Gideon stepped out with poise, adjusting his suit jacket. His demeanor exuded authority.

At this moment, Gideon did indeed have the director’s vibe.
Olivia praised Gideon for his acting skills in her heart.
Spotting them, Elon Frants hurried over with open arms. “Welcome! Mr. Parson. I’ve been eagerly awaiting your

arrival.”
But after all, Elon was an experienced person. Not only was not annoyed, but he also found an excuse for himself.
“You’re new here. Let me introduce myself first. I’m Elon Frants, the vice president of Blueway Asylum. It’s truly an honor to finally meet the famed Mr. Parson.”
Elon was very familiar with the situation. Gideon looked at him and nodded slightly.
“Mr. Frants. Pleased to meet you. Let’s head inside to discuss further.”
With a sigh of relief, Elon responded, “Of course, right this way. Everything’s been arranged for our meeting.”
When Elon saw that Gideon finally opened his mouth and called him Mr. Frants, he happily led him into the asylum.
Initially, Elon had been wary of Gideon’s aloofness. However, seeing Gideon’s acknowledgment, he relaxed a bit, chuckling internally at Olivia’s rather old-fashioned look.
But he couldn’t help noticing her striking figure.
Olivia followed Gideon and successfully entered the men tal asylum.
On the way here, she had roughly analyzed the layout of this men tal asylum.
The asylum consisted of three buildings. The central one housed the administration and wards, while the flanking

buildings contained labs and equipment rooms.
The patients and the doctors were in the central building.
The central building, rising seven stories high, was the nerve center of the hospital, with a lobby on the first floor, inpatient units on the second through fifth floors, and the top floor housing the hospital’s elite and special care units.
Based on the intel from Blake, her sister Gianna was likely hidden here, probably in the top-floor special care unit.
While these thoughts raced through Olivia’s mind, they had already reached the grand lobby.
“Mr. Parson,” Elon interjected, “please join me in my office for a brief rest. I’ve got dinner sorted, and we’ll head there in about half an hour.”
Elon closely trailed Gideon Parson, grinning from ear to ear, yet his heart raced with anxiety.
The inspection was so sudden, so he didn’t arrange the dinner in advance. Otherwise, as soon as Gideon arrived, he would be arranged to have dinner directly without even having to go to the hospital.
Especially now, during such a tricky period, it would be best if they didn’t spot any issues.
“Mr. Frants, there’s no need for dinner. Ms. Chairwoman sent us to inspect the projects sponsored by the International Council of Nonprofits. We aim to provide additional support to projects that are performing well but are underfunded. Time’s ticking, so let’s sk ip the dinner.”
Gideon followed Elon into the elevator and suggested with a serious and responsible attitude.
Elon was initially disappointed when Gideon turned down his dinner invitation. However, the mention of potential additional funding made his eyes sparkle with dollar signs.
“Mr. Parson, you’re the epitome of responsibility. Our asylum has made significant strides in recent years. With additional funding, the sky’s the limit for us!” Elon exclaimed enthusiastically.
Gideon nodded. “The former president praised this asylum too. So, Mr. Frants, could you give me a brief tour? We have to go through the motions.”
As Elon was about to press the button for the top floor, Gideon interjected timely.
“Well…” Hearing that Gideon was going to visit the asylum, Elon couldn’t help but look embarrassed.
“Mr. Frants, is there anything difficult?”
“Well, Mr. Parson, our patients are… psychopaths. It might…”
Elon looked sheepish, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead.
“No worries. A quick glance down the hallways will suffice. Your asylum stands out among the funding candidates.”
Gideon’s confidence was infectious, painting visions of bulging wallets in Elon’s mind.
