As Jaime stepped into the main hall, he caught the butler's words, "So, the girl's not here?" He squinted slightly, clearly not buying it.

The old butler nodded with respect. "Yes, sir. But Miss Mira only stepped out a few minutes ago. You probably passed by Grady's car just now."

Jaime thought back to when he was outside, remembering Grady's car. He hadn't seen inside clearly, but there was definitely someone in the back seat.
