Chapter 1728

Creating the serum wasn't as straightforward as it seemed. Mirabella had practically barricaded herself in the lab and hadn't stepped out since she started.

It wasn't until 11 a.m. the next day that she finally emerged, clutching a vial of transparent serum.

Dr. Ray had popped in several times, and upon seeing Mirabella at last, he quickly asked, "So, how did it go? Is it ready?"

"It's done," Mirabella replied, her voice a bit raspy, her eyes rimmed with fatigue.

Dr. Ray let out a relieved sigh. "Keir's condition is really shaky. If we don't get his body temperature back to normal soon, even if we manage a timely blood transfusion, he might face some serious complications."

"I know," Mirabella nodded.

Dr. Ray's gaze fell on the vial in her hand. "Is that the blood fusion serum you were talking about?"

"Yeah," Mirabella confirmed, pulling out her phone to text Alex to get ready for a blood donation. Without wasting any time, she headed towards the ward.

Dr. Ray ran a hand through his hair, feeling like his medical knowledge was being constantly turned on its head these past couple of days. Using cold saline as a temporary blood substitute was one thing-there were studies on that—but a blood fusion serum? That was pushing the boundaries.

Dr. Ray quickly caught up with Mirabella.
