Courtney was feeling a little doubtful.

She was a genius, but they were in the real world right now.

No matter how smart she was, there was no way she could whip five hundred thousand out of thin air.

Kingsley noticed the worried look on Courtney's face and gave her a faint smile. "Don't worry, Courtney. It's only five hundred grand. That's nothing!"

Courtney stared right into Kingsley's eyes and observed him carefully before breaking into a smile. "Then I look forward to receiving my gift!"

She saw confidence and assurance in Kingsley's eyes.

This meant that Kingsley was doing all this because he could deliver on his words.

However, no one else knew that Kingsley could do it.

Right now, all the other customers in the store had gathered nearby to see Kingsley humiliate himself.

They even started making comments.

"What on earth is wrong with this fool? Wouldn't it be so humiliating if he couldn't pay for it later?"

"Hah. Guys like him are completely shameless. Why would he care about a little humiliation?"

"My guess is if he doesn't pay up, the store's manager will get security to toss them out of here! I pity that woman. She's so beautiful…"

Zeke crossed his arms and stood there waiting to enjoy a good show.

Catherine even brought her phone out in preparation to take a video of Courtney being chased out by the guards!

Amid the crowd's mockery of Kingsley, Julie came out with a dazzling, gold-plated box in her hands.

"Sir, this is our latest model of women's mechanical watch." Julie began to introduce it. "The casing, sunburst dial, numerals, and clock hands are all made from 18k rose gold, while the bezel, dial, and strap have been set with a snowflake mosaic design that includes 3,238 diamond chips. The casing is also set with 351 Top Wesselton diamonds which total up to approximately 1.94 carats. The watch mechanism is the Caliber 324 S automatic winding movement. You can observe its functioning through the back of the watch."

As she launched into a lengthy description of the watch, she slowly unwrapped the luxurious box.

Everyone's eyes shot over at once.

Even Catherine's gaze was filled with jealousy.

Kingsley glanced at the dazzling watch that sat in the box and nodded. "It's very pretty. It will suit Courtney perfectly."

He reached out for the watch.

"Sir, try-ons are not allowed for this watch. You can choose to pay a deposit first…"

Before Julie could finish her sentence, Kingsley took a bank card out of his pocket and said, "Don't bother with the deposit. Just swipe the full amount!"

The crowd gasped in shock.

It was five hundred thousand they were talking about. Was he going to pay it all upfront?

Not to mention, this was just a spur-of-the-moment expense!
