Of the men in the Translation Department, only two had cars, excluding their boss. The women were hesitant to ride with their boss, so they split into two cars with the two gentlemen.

“What’s this? Are you all afraid I’ll eat you?” Victor raised an eyebrow, his tone teasing.

“Of course not! We’re just worried you’ll quiz us on work,” one of the women responded, laughing. “Besides, with Miss Dalton here, how could we dare get into your car?”

“Well, well, well, when have I ever refused to give you all a ride?” Victor chuckled, playfully scolding them.

Laughter filled the air. After a few jokes, Hailey and one of the male colleagues climbed into Victor’s car.

It was buzzing with activity, full of chatter and laughter.

Victor reserved a private room, and the group ordered a large platter of barbecue along with various side dishes. As the food was still being prepared, they casually began chatting.
