Chapter 29

Maggie put down her phone, had breakfast, and then left for the Wilson Group office. There was a big meeting in the morning. Franklin would also be attending.

After arriving at the meeting room, Maggie sat down with the others and waited for more than ten minutes before Franklin appeared.

As soon as he entered, Sherry gasped in admiration, her eyes shining as she couldn’t take her eyes off of Franklin.

It wasn’t until a while later, when the meeting officially began, that she snapped out of it. She tugged at Maggie’s sleeve and whispered, “President is really handsome!”

Maggie had only glanced up when Franklin entered. Upon hearing Sherry, she didn’t even lift her head, giving a perfunctory “Mm.”

Seeing that Maggie seemed completely uninterested in Franklin, Sherry was a little

surprised.

But then she remembered that Maggie was already married, with a child who wasn’t that young anymore, so she figured it was normal.

During the meeting, Sherry’s heart was racing as she couldn’t stop staring at Franklin. She didn’t pay attention to what was being discussed at the meeting at all.

Maggie, on the other hand, was focused on taking notes on her computer.

After the meeting, Franklin left first, and the others followed.

Sherry continued to daydream for a while, but it wasn’t until Jake came over to collect the materials that Maggie had just recorded that she snapped out of her thoughts.

Jake flipped through the records and couldn’t help but comment, “Not bad, good work.”

Maggie replied, “It’s nothing.”

Jake left, and Sherry suddenly realized that she hadn’t been paying attention during the meeting. She quickly asked Maggie to send her the materials.

But after a moment, a headache began to set in.

Maggie replied, “No.”
