Chapter 0671

I just stare up at Jackson for a long, long moment, not knowing what to do or how to express this brand new fear and keep my dignity.

"Ariel," Jackson says again, his frown deepening as he strokes a comforting hand over my hair, his hand tracing through the long damp strands of it. "What's wrong? What are you talking about?"

Slowly, I drop my head and look down, stepping away from him slightly - just enough that I can get a good look at him, my fingertips still trailing along the skin of his waist. And when I do get a good look at Jackson's full body it does...absolutely nothing to quell my newly burgeoning fears. "Jackson," I murmur, glancing up at his face and then back down. "Jacks...it's not going to fit."

He goes perfectly still for a few long moments as I stare, but then he bursts into laughter. I whip my head up, staring into his eyes, not entirely sure why he's not taking this as seriously as I am.

Fervently, I shake my head, pleading with him to see the facts of biology for what they are. "Jackson, I am a small person -"

"Ariel!"

"It's just proportionally! It is not going to fit!"
