Since Gabriel kept her in check, Sophie wouldn't hesitate to deal with his shadow guards without mercy.

"I'm here to see Father. I didn't find him when I was with Benedict earlier. Are you sure he hasn't come this way?" Sophie asked, her tone casual as she subtly inched closer.

The shadow guard shook his head. "Lord Mowbay hasn't been here tonight, nor is he in the study."

"Oh, I see. Alright then. I'll head back first," Sophie said, turning around. Under the cover of her sleeve, the poison powder she had just hooked under her fingernail was quietly scattered away.
