The Lies He Told Me 210

Lost in random thoughts, Antonio fell asleep without knowing it.

When he woke up, he felt like his body was on fire and his throat was dry and sore. He had no strength, and his mind was muddled.

In a daze, he fumbled for his phone and called Morton, telling him to come over right away.

Enduring the burning body heat, he waited for ten minutes before he finally passed out.

When Morton rushed over to find Antonio in a high fever, he was almost scared out

of his wits. He hurriedly contacted the front desk to take Antonio to the hospital.

During the six hours of IV drip treatment, Morton stayed by his side, not daring to even blink.

In the middle of the night, Antonio woke up and asked for water.

Morton quickly grabbed a glass to get water. As he passed through the hallway, he heard a very familiar voice. He turned his head subconsciously and immediately saw Grace.

She was also by the bedside, holding a thermometer, and the one lying on the hospital bed was Devin.

Thinking of Antonio' purpose for this trip, Morton pondered for a moment. He then
