Diana’s pov

Nails pierced through the flesh of my palm, warm liquid oozing out.

Yet, I couldn’t sense any pain.

My breath paused briefly,

Nathan abruptly looked up, seemingly surprised that my initial reaction wasn’t denial but a thoughtful inquiry.
