The woman was also a vampire, but I didn't know why she was indifferent to the smell of my blood. She became frantic and was begging me to take her to see Ashley. I almost thought she had lost her mind. "Calm down, my lady. You're scaring her." Nicole grabbed the woman's hand and comforted her. "Let's listen to her first."
