REAGAN'S POV.

I left the penthouse exhausted and out of breath because Ashanti chose to unleash all her strength on me when I tried to walk out through the door. On the first attempt, She dashed out at the speed of light and I caught her on the staircase. The second attempt, she hit me in the balls but the guards were quick enough to get a hold of her before she slipped past them. She was screaming curses at me when I walked out of the penthouse.

That's enough to make me understand how determined she is to leave. I need to be very careful from now on and above all, I need to settle this problem and prove my point to her so she can change her mind about leaving.

"Alpha Reagan." A familiar voice sounds my name and I look up to see Ronald approaching my table with great urgency. I sigh and adjusts myself on the chair, readying myself to receive whatever bad news he has come to announce because they seem to be in a line, patiently waiting for their turns to pop up.

"What bad thing has happened this time around? Just say it already."

"Luckily for us, it isn't bad news, My Lord." There's a faint smile on his face that eases the tension in my chest.

"Oh..." I sit upright on the chair and place both hands on the table before me, leaning towards him. "Is that so?" I ask, surprised, my gaze never leaving his face. He nods and even smiles.

I like that.

"So what's up?" I ask casually and that makes him chuckle. That's one of the things I like about my relationship with him and Kyle. We could switch from mode casual to mode formal anytime we please.

"It's about the annual meeting with the other Lycan Alphas. We've been so preoccupied with other problems that we lost track of the day when it's supposed to be held. I only recalled when I got a call from Alpha Kai of the Wall Street Pack, telling me about his excitement for the event." He calmly explains and I snort.
