REAGAN'S POV

"Now that you all know the truth about Alina and most importantly, the fact that my mate, Ashanti, is not an evil witch, I hope you all can take it easy on her. From now on, I will not tolerate any negative news being spread about my mate. Anyone caught doing so will be punished severely. She might not be the ideal mate you all want for me, but she is my mate, nevertheless. The Moon goddess chose her for me... for us and except you want to question or challenge the Moon goddess' decision, you had better start treating Ashanti with the respect she deserves. I stop. Draw in a deep breath. "I have accepted her as my mate and Luna of this pack and so should you. Anyone who's againsts my decision should go rogue or better still, die, because like I said before, I will not go easy on anyone who's caught spreading false rumours about my mate. So be careful!" My eyes go over to the elders who all shrink in their seats like the cowards they are.

The next meeting I hold will be to dismiss them as my elders and dissolve the so-called council of elders. That's going to cause an uproar from the subjects and everyone else, but I don't care. For now, I have to get my mate out of that dungeon before I lose it.

Everyone rises to their feet and bows to me as I make my way out of the banquet hall with Kyle following me closely behind. Kyle seems to have read my mind because the moment we get into the car and hit the road, he steps on the gas and it's a matter of minutes before we arrive at the dungeon. I'm almost trembling with excitement as I allow myself to be led into the dungeon by Kyle.

It's finally over.

I've proven to the general public that Alina is not the Saint she claimed to be. Ashanti's name has been cleared and from now on, my subjects will treat her with the respect she deserves. The happy ending I had always wished for us is finally here. I'm finally going to be with my mate without anyone coming between us.

I'm elated. I feel like singing right now. The warden's are giving me weird looks as I walk past them because of the goofy smile on my face, but I don't care. They can't understand the joy I feel right now. Once the elevator door dings and the door opens to the floor where Ashanti's cell is located, I take the lead out and head straight to the cell. My heart rate reaches a new higher level as I draw closer to the cell.

I cannot wait to get there and see Ashanti... to break the news to her. To hugs her, kiss her, take her back home and live happily ever after with her. I cannot wait to...
