KYLE'S POV.

"Welcome home, Delta Kyle." The guards around the premises greet the moment I step out of my car. I return their greetings with a simple nod and start heading towards the main entrance of the house. Having guards around my compound has never been something I fancied or found necessary, but that perspective changed when Tessa moved in. I'm very protective of her. I would lose my mind if anything were to happen to her while I was away. She's the reason why I have these guards stationed around the premises.

At the main door, I ring the doorbell and it's opened almost immediately by my butler whoshoweres me with more warm greetings as he takes my coat and my bag. It's just a matter of seconds before Tessa appears at the staircase landing above, grinning from molar to molar as she looks down at me.

"Baby!" She calls enthusiastically as she starts rushing down the staircase. My heart is my throat as I watch her take those fast steps down each stairs. She knows I don't like it when she does that. All it takes is one missed step and there'll be a dangerous accident. This girl will be the end of me.

She crashes into my arms, engulfing me in a warm hug and I wrap my arms around her waist, picking her up and swirling her around with her legs hooked around my waist. Her melodious laughter fills the entire atmosphere, making smile like an idiot.
