This is not how I imagined my first encounter with Selena would look like. I figured her pitiful state would make feel very sorry for her and give me more reasons to move on from Alpha Reagan, but I was wrong. After the heated altercation I just had with her in there and knowing her true colors, I don't think I can do that anymore.

It's true that Alpha Regan hurt me in the past. He was aweful to me, but it'd unfair of me to judge him based on his flaws alone. He also had his good moments. Moments when he made me blush and felt love. Moments that live rent free in my head. He's a good man and if there's one thing I'm sure about, it's the fact he loves me and he wants to be with me.

I want to be with him too.

Just like Kyle suspects, Selena is up to something and that needs to be figured out before it's too late. I'll leave Kyle to take care of that. I trust that he will find out what we need to know very soon. For now, I need to keep my mate far away from that Selena's deceitful claws.

"About what exactly?" The impatience drooling from her tone gets me even more amused. She's going to be so mad when I tell her what happened at the hospital.

"I'm just coming from the hospital."

"Hospital?" She asks, alarmed. "Are you sick?" She gives me a look of concern. I shake my head in denial.

"So why were you at the hospital?"

"Alpha Reagan and I were about to have dinner when he got a call from one of the servants at Selena's apartment saying she cut her wrist and was rushed to the hospital. I asked to go with him and he took me there to see her."
