She realized it was the house where she and Edgar used to live.

Grace did not refuse. Although she was not short of money, there was no reason for her not to accept the money that came to her.

Nancy walked to the guest table with two roses.
When she looked at the delicate woman in front of her, she took off her sunglasses and put on a fake smile. “Hello, Miss Grammer.”
Sarah looked her up and down.
“Are you Nancy Mellis, the illegitimate daughter of the Mellis family? You look good, but your manners gave away the fact that you are not a real lady.”
