Chapter 42
Grace replied calmly, “Okay.”
She turned to look at Tom, only to see that his face was pale and he looked extremely embarrassed. In a low voice, he said, “Grace… I am so sorry but I don’t know how to dance.”
Grace didn’t say anything, and she didn’t mean to blame him.
Mia smiled even more proudly. “It seems that Mr. Walker can’t help you. What are you going to do? Will no one present be willing to dance with you? I am so sorry for you!”
Grace remained silent and looked around the men present.
Several young men were enticed by Grace’s presence and contemplated inviting her to dance. However, they eventually abandoned the idea, convinced that her dress was counterfeit, unwilling to risk being the one mocked alongside her.
Two minutes passed, and no one present was willing to dance with Grace.
Mia’s pride swelled within her.
Just as she was about to continue mocking, a man’s deep and firm voice suddenly came from behind the crowd.
“I wonder if Miss Salen is willing to dance with me.”
The crowd looked in the direction of the voice. Edgar had returned to the banquet hall at some point and was looking at Grace on the red carpet with burning eyes.
He hadn’t actually left earlier. He had simply retreated to a secluded and inconspicuous spot, seeking solace away from the petty conflict between the women.
However, Nancy had finished dancing, which meant that there was probably something wrong with Grace’s clothes.
If he were to dance with her, he could discreetly support her by gently guiding her waistline and preventing any potential mishaps.
He felt that he was just doing this out of kindness, but some people didn’t think so.
“Edgar!”
“Edgar!”
Nancy and Mia spoke almost at the same time..
Mia was very excited. “How can you help her? You are Nancy’s fiance,”

Nancy didn’t complain but just looked at him pitifully. In fact, she was gnashing her teeth with hatred in her heart.
If Grace really agreed, as his fiancee, Nancy would feel very humiliated.
Despite the risk of potentially making a fool of himself alongside Grace, Edgar boldly took the initiative to invite her to dance.
She wondered, “Why?
In an instant, the hatred in Nancy reached its peak.
Ignoring their complaints, Edgar looked at Grace again, indicating that she should accept his invitation.
Grace glanced at him, then looked away and went straight to the stand. Her tone was cold as she said, “Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Fallen, but there’s no need. I want to dance alone.”
“What? Is this woman crazy?”
“She wants to dance alone in such a difficult dance? And look at her expression just now. She doesn’t take Mr. Fallen seriously at all.”
“She doesn’t know what she’s getting herself into, I can’t wait to see her embarrass herself!”
The guests burst into an uproar and surrounded Grace, discussing heatedly.
In contrast, Nancy secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Mia smiled triumphantly. “Nice.”

Chapter 42
After being rejected, Edgar didn’t look well either. He pursed his lips tightly and sat back down.
Since he didn’t appreciate his kindness at all. It had nothing to do with him.
On the stage, Grace didn’t seem to hear the voices of doubt below.
As the music started playing, she quickly entered a state, and her aura suddenly changed.
Seeing that she was about to start, the guests all quieted down and waited to watch a good show.
However…
One second, two seconds…
The people who were waiting to see the ugly face gradually shocked!
Under the spotlight, Grace danced to the music.
The snow white dress made her look like a fairy in the dark night.
She seemed to be integrated with the music. Her dance steps were sometimes gorgeous and elegant, and sometimes lively and wild. Even the most difficult intersecting steps, rotations, and jumps in the song were perfectly interpreted by her.
Lover was a double dance, but she adapted it into a perfect solo dance.
This song seemed to be specially designed for her.
“Oh my g od! How did she do it?”
“This is simply the best dancer I’ve ever seen!”
“I should have invited her to dance with me. She’s so beautiful! I lost a lot!”
The men who were unwilling to stand up and dance with Grace just now all sighed and howled.
Even if they could hold her slim waist, it would be worth it tonight!
Some were regretful, while others were amazed.
All the guests were immersed in the dance of Grace, unable to extricate themselves.
Edgar also stared at the swan-like woman on the stage, with a trace of surprise in his eternal black eyes.
