“What happened to Hedda?” Jack turned off the TV and asked.
“Hedda was taken away by Patric. He said that he found a doctor to operate on her. But there were some problems during the operation. Hedda…”
Emma cried bitterly and continued, “I went to Patric and asked for an explanation, but he refused to return Hedda to me and even drove me out!”
She covered her chest and sobbed.
Jack quickly poured her a glass of water and helped her sit down. He patted Emma’s back gently to calm her down.
“What can we do? Patric is not someone that we can afford to offend.”
After he heard about Hedda’s death, Jack’s eyes turned red. But, it was Patric….

was Patric, who belonged to one of the richest families in S City. Even if he was heartbroken about Hedda’s death, he didn’t dare to provoke Patric.
Nancy sat at the side as she silently gloated over Hedda’s misfortune.
When Emma recovered from her grief, she saw that Nancy was smiling. She became even angrier and pointed at Nancy as she scolded her.
“You bi tch, it’s all your fault! If it weren’t for you, how could Hedda have met with a car accident back then. Now, I’ve lost my daughter!”
Nancy snorted and smiled. “I didn’t ask her to get drunk and hit the car, nor did I send her to Patric and forced him to have someone operate on her. What does her death have to do with me? Don’t slander me.”
She rolled her eyes in disgust and slammed the crystal cup heavily on the coffee table.
“It’s all because of you, b itch. Otherwise, how could you have known about Hedda’s death in advance? How dare you quibble? I’ll beat you to death today!”
In a fit of anger, Emma grabbed the remote control on the coffee table and threw it at Nancy. “All of you, stop! Look at yourselves!”
Jack roared, and the two of them stopped.

Nancy moved to the sofa to keep a distance from Emma and said lightly.
She said, “Edgar will give an explanation to the public tomorrow. We can take this opportunity to announce Hedda’s death.”
“What do you mean? Hedda has passed away. How could you use her like this?”
Emma became agitated again. Jack quickly stopped her and motioned for Nancy to continue. “Tomorrow, we’ll hold a press conference. We can announce Hedda’s death and put all the blame on Grace. In this way, we won’t offend Patric, and we’ll also gain an advantage when it comes to the public opinion.”
Nancy had planned this conference for a long time.

“Edgar Fallen was cold and heartless toward her. Why can’t she still forget him?”

She picked up the scissors and cut the photo in half without hesitation. Then she cut the other half of the photo that had Edgar Fallen in it into pieces.
“Grace, what are you doing?”
Patric came in and patted her on the shoulder with relief. “I thought you couldn’t forget him and you’re always thinking of him…”
“How could that be?”
Grace sneered, and the expression on her face suddenly became extremely fierce.
“He owed me too much in the three years of marriage. It’s time to make him pay.”
A long night passed.
Nancy tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep.
Edgar had not contacted her the whole day. She was busy preparing for the press conference the next day and didn’t have time to call him.
