Chapter 46

The Omega: Mated To The Four

Chapter Forty Six

The morning sunlight streamed through the cabin's windows, casting a warm glow on the wooden floors, I stretched, my body still aching from the emotional toll of the past few week. As I sat up in bed, my eyes drifted to the pile of clothes I had taken from Mariah's closet the night before.

Carefully, I reached out and picked up one of Mariah's scarves, the soft fabric still faintly carrying her scent. I pressed it to my face, letting it ground me. I wasn't sure what the journey ahead would bring, but I knew I couldn't delay any longer.

Rising from the bed, I grabbed a small bag and stuffed it with a few of Mariah's belongings: the scarf, a locket Mariah had kept by her bedside, and a journal I had found while searching her room. These items, small as they were, felt like pieces of Mariah's strength and guidance.

Dressing quickly, I slung the bag over my shoulder and walked out of the bedroom.

In the main living area of the cabin, my mates sat around the table, deep in conversation. Elijah's brows were furrowed, his hands gesturing animatedly as he spoke. Alex leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, while Austin and Isaiah both nodded thoughtfully.

When I stepped into the room, bag in hand, the conversation stopped abruptly. Four pairs of eyes turned to me, their expressions a mix of curiosity and concern.

"Good morning," Austin said cautiously, breaking the silence.

I didn't respond immediately. Instead, I walked to the center of the room, letting
