The Alpha Bond 106

Chapter Hundred and Six-1

The night was eerily silent as we approached the base of the mountain range. A thick mist had settled over the terrain, shrouding the rocky slopes in a ghostly haze. I tightened her jacket around myself, the cool air biting at my skin.

"We shouldn't be here," Alex muttered, his arms crossed. "I have a really bad feeling about this."

Austin rolled his eyes. "You always have a bad feeling about things."

"And I'm usually right," Alex shot back.

I sighed. "Then do us a favor and keep your paranoia to yourself. Just light up the place."

Alex smirked, holding up his hand. A small flame flickered to life on his fingertips, casting long shadows along the rocky walls of the cave entrance.

"Fine," he grumbled. "But don't blame me when something jumps out and kills us."

Isaiah used his shadow abilities to cloak us, ensuring that no unwanted eyes saw their entry into the cavern. The moment they stepped inside, the air thickened with an unnatural stillness.

The entrance tunnel sloped downward, leading us into the heart of the cave. Light filtered through cracks in the ceiling, creating eerie beams that illuminated jagged stalactites above us.

But what was most unsettling were the echoes.

Our footsteps bounced off the walls, repeating themselves a second too late, mimicking our voices in a way that sounded almost... distorted.

I shivered. It felt like something was watching us.

As we ventured deeper, the man-made pathways of the tourist tour faded behind us. We were in uncharted territory now.

Then, I stopped.

On the walls, faded paintings decorated the stone. Ancient stories, forgotten by time. I reached out, tracing the outlines with my fingertips.

"What is this?" Elijah asked, stepping closer.

My heart pounded. "It's a story... the story of the first omega."

The paintings depicted a lone wolf bathed in silver light, kneeling before a radiant figure-the goddess. She blessed the wolf, and from that moment on, a new bloodline was born.

"The birth of the Silvermoon lineage," Isaiah murmured, his voice hushed in

reverence.

I swallowed hard. This was proof-evidence that my kind had been chosen by the goddess. And yet, for centuries, omegas had been treated as weak, and disposable. But from the line of omega was born a powerful lineage one that even the strongest wolves would have no choice but to rely on.

I clenched my fists. We pressed forward, the tunnel leading us into a vast cavern.

Then, Alex froze. His entire body stiffened, his breath catching in his throat.
