The Alpha Bond 109

The Omega: Mated To The Four

Chapter Hundred and Nine

The morning air was crisp and cool, carrying the scent of freshly baked bread, roasted nuts, and the faint perfume of blooming flowers. As Isaiah, Alex and I stepped onto the cobblestone streets of the festival grounds, we were met with a vibrant display of color and sound. Stalls lined the streets, covered with delicate lacework that caught the morning light, transforming into intricate patterns of shadow and texture.

Women and men, young and old, worked deftly with wooden bobbins weaving the fine threads into breathtaking designs. Tables overflowed with lace scarves, embroidered veils, and even small lace figurines. The air buzzed with laughter and lively conversation in a language I didn't quite understand, yet somehow, thanks to Eir magic, I felt the meaning of every word.

"This is... beautiful," I breathed, running my fingers along the delicate edge of a lace-trimmed handkerchief.

Isaiah smirked. "You just wanted an excuse to run around town."

I rolled my eyes. "Can't I just appreciate something for once?"

Alex snorted. "Appreciate it? I think you're obsessed." He reached over and plucked a lace-trimmed scarf from a vendor's stall, wrapping it dramatically around his shoulders. "What do you think? Elegant enough for a prince?"

I snorted. "You look ridiculous."

Isaiah shook his head. "I think it suits him. He's always been dramatic."

"Hey!" Alex pouted, but before he could argue further, we stumbled upon a lace- making demonstration where elderly women sat at long wooden tables, their fingers moving swiftly over intricate lacework.

I watched in fascination as the women maneuvered their bobbins with effortless precision, twisting and crossing the threads into patterns that looked far too complex for human hands.

"I can't believe we stumbled into a festival," I said, my eyes shining as I examined

a lace-trimmed scarf one of the women was making. "It's beautiful.”

Isaiah smirked. "Again like I said You just wanted an excuse to run around town."

I stuck my tongue out at him, but before I could say anything, Alex elbowed me playfully. "Admit it, you're excited about this lace-

making thing."

"I just think it's cool," I defended, picking up a delicate lace doily and running my fingers over the intricate patterns. "Besides, I don't get to do normal things often. This feels... peaceful."

"Enjoy it while it lasts," Isaiah said. "We're back to fighting shadow creatures tomorrow."

Alex sighed dramatically. "Don't remind me."

We watched as the elderly women worked deftly with tiny wooden bobbins, weaving intricate designs faster than I could follow.
