Chapter 36: Amelia

My sister's response to me being home was surprising, until she announces that she's pregnant. Then I understand.

My mother and I rush to hug her, Alpha Calvin stepping back and giving us space.

"Congratulations!" I say.

"How far along are you?" my mother asks.

"Is it a boy or a girl?" we ask, all in rapid succession.

Amelia laughs, hugging us.

"I'm just a couple of weeks along so we don't know if it's a boy or girl yet, but we're both so happy," she says, looking back at her mate. "Yes, we are," Alpha Calvin says.

"And Sophie. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for that to sound like I'm not excited to see you again. I'm so happy that you're safe and home.
