Chapter 213

Cyra

I can't believe Yorick killed that guy. If I wasn't in such horrible pain, I would probably care more. But it's all I can do to not scream in agony as Yorick rushes me to the infirmary.

"I've got an emergency!" he yells as he rushes us through the doors.

A doctor runs up, takes one look at my knee and tells Yorick to follow her. She takes me straight to an x-ray room where Yorick gently lays me on the table. "Alpha, I need you to step out of the room," the doctor says.

"I'll be right back," he says and rushes out.

"What's your name, Alpha?" the doctor asks.

"Cyra. Cyra Teymoori."

"Alpha Cyra, I'm Dr. Johnston. I'm going to get an x-ray of your knee and see how bad it is," she says. "Stay still for me. I know it hurts."

She steps out of the room, and I hear a mechanical humming sound before she comes back in. Yorick bursts into the room right behind her, his phone to

his ear.

"Mom, I need your help. A... student at the Academy got kicked in her knee, dislocating it. Mom you have to help her or she'll get expelled from the Academy,"

he says.

Oh shit. That thought hadn't yet occurred to me. I swallow the bile in my stomach, partly from the pain in my knee and partly from the idea of losing the last year of my life before bonding with Stellan.

"Excuse me! This is MY hospital. You are not in charge here. I don't know who you think you are, or who you think you can call to help Ms. Teymoori, but get out and stop distracting me," the doctor growls.

"My mother is Dr. Yara Hill. She is renowned in the medical industry. Forgive me if I believe that she can do more to help Cyra than you can standing in this room,” Yorick snarls at her.

"Yorick, calm down son. Anger and anxiety have no place in a hospital," I hear a woman's voice through the phone. Even from a long distance, her voice sounds calm and soothing.

"Your mother is Dr. Yara?" the doctor asks.

"Yeah. I'm Yorick Hill, her son."

The doctor holds out her hand and Yorick hands over the phone, narrowing his eyes as if he expects her to disconnect the call.

"Dr. Yara, this is Dr. Charlotte Johnston. I'm not sure if you oh you do remember me. Yes," she says, looking at me. "Yes, I'm just about to look at the x-rays. Hold on just a moment."

"Alpha Cyra, is it okay with you if I speak to Dr. Yarą?"
