With younger mothers, it isn’t as big of a deal, but with the older she–wolves, the ones who have already had their pups, it has put them at higher risk. I have several she–wolves right now that are borderline high risk because of their age. I’d have to confirm, but I believe all

I turn and look at my mother. This is getting into her territory.

“How long has this been happening?” she asks.

He turns and looks around the office, finding what he was looking for. “There are four of them, all of them have turned up pregnant in the last three to four weeks,” he says, grabbing some files and handing them to my mother. “I am a doctor! I would never go against my Hippocratic oath,” he growls.
