After Stellan’s court hearing, Cyra and I went back to campus.

“It’s done. It’s finally done!” she says.

“Good, now you can relax. You haven’t been sleeping, you haven’t been eating, I can feel how upset you’ve been all week. I don’t like my mate being so

stressed.”

“There was no way around it, Yorick, you know that. But now, it’s done. Now we can focus on our pack, our studies, getting you on the C–Squad, and starting our lives together.”

“Mmm, I like the sound of that,” I tell her.

Since I know she’s been so stressed this week, I tuck her beside me on our loveseat while we study. But the next day, she still wakes up feeling queasy.
