In reality, when Chloe heard the words ‘Sunshine Co.’, she wanted to hide her face out of embarrassment. She wanted to speak out and tell her aunt that Alex was the young director of the business that was going to acquire Sunshine Co.
However, Heather didn’t even give her a chance to speak.
She started insulting Alex. “Which business? Does that have anything to do with you? Would you even know what I’m talking about if I told you? You thugs usually just… Fight, smoke and drink, right? All you do is race cars and go to the arcade! Do you even know what an acquisition is? It’s not even that, I’m saying it’s a partnership!”
“Whatever, it’s no use explaining it to your lowlifes. You’re just ferns in a well.”
Nicholas corrected her. “You’re wrong. It’s ‘a frog in a well knows nothing about the sea’, you old hag!”
Heather fumed. “How dare you correct me? Do you even know what you’re saying?”
Nicholas was speechless. He didn’t want to waste any more energy being angry and slowly turning into a Chad. “Hey, Huntsman was it?”

Chad blinked furiously. “I, it’s… Ch-Ch-Chad Hunter!”
“Alright, Chad, didn’t you just give her a thirty eight thousand dollar necklace? But you’re acting so arrogantly as if you bought one that was worth 250 thousand. Come here and take a look at what I’ve prepared.”
Nicholas took out the gift that he had prepared ages ago, it was a necklace as well.
Coincidentally, there was a red jewel pendant on it. The pendant was surrounded by small diamonds, making it seem fairly elegant and luxurious. With the two necklaces next to each other, it was obvious which was better.
Chad’s red jewel necklace looked dull and worthless next to Nicholas’.
Not only were Chloe’s parents shocked, Chloe herself was surprised by the necklace as well. She pointed at it and asked, “Nick, isn’t this Starlight from Stardew Jewellery? Why… Why did you buy it?”
Chloe recognized the necklace because the two had seen it when they went shopping together.
Heather recognized it as well. “Oh my, it really is Starlight! This is one of the best necklaces that Stardew Valley had produced. It would cost at least 990 thousand! How…did you get this?”
Nicholas replied. “How else? I bought it, did you think I’d steal?”
He then turned to look at Chad, who was extremely frustrated. “Look at it. Can you tell which is better now? I was wondering why you were bluffing with a necklace that cost merely thirty eight thousand dollars. You even called Chloe’s family poor. So you’re saying you’re pretty rich? Oh, and you claim to be the general manager of Sunshine Co. right? I have his phone number here. Should I give him a call to see which one of you is the real one?”
Chad huffed. “You have the general manager’s number? Hah, bluff all you want!”
To his demise, Nicholas was telling the truth and he immediately dialed the general manager’s number. However, Alex snatched the phone out of Nicholas’ hands and said, “You’re the general manager of Sunshine Co.? I’m just calling to tell you that the acquisition of your company is not approved.”
