Frey had made arrangements for her property to be divided into four parts in the event of her death. Which was to her mother, brother, the orphanage, and Peyton.

She sighed bitterly, realizing how morbid it was to think about death. Yet, given the dangerous games she had been playing with Nathaniel, life often seemed like a matter of life and death.

After much searching, Frey finally found an apartment with good security features. Located in Lush Garden, it was conveniently close to Andala Corp, where she planned to apply for a designer position in one of her investments.

She immediately contacted the agent. Despite the expensive fees, the apartment was still available, and the agent eagerly arranged for Frey to visit.

Frey grabbed a piece of sandwich from a convenience store and ate it at a small table by the window before taking a taxi to Lush Garden.

The community was neither new nor old but well-managed. The apartment was on the eleventh floor, offering a broad view.

Frey signed the lease, hired a part-time worker for basic cleaning, and moved in. She ordered necessities such as bedding, pots and pans, and appliances, and bought a few changes of clothes and some underwear.

That evening, Frey cooked egg noodles, took a shower, and was about to start a new design on her computer when her phone rang.
