Peyton led Frey to the most secluded booth in the shop. Frey approached it and saw a woman dressed in gray sportswear, her collar pulled up to obscure the scars on her neck. She wore sunglasses and gazed out the window at the bustling scene outside. Frey sat down across from her. Maggie quickly removed her sunglasses.

Frey observed her and understood why Maggie needed the glasses.

There were noticeable scars at the corners of her eyes. Maggie's nervousness was evident as she glanced around before meeting Frey's gaze. A flicker of jealousy crossed her face.
