At first, when Dad walked into my office I figured he had even more work for me to do. But as I saw his face I knew something far more serious was going on. Ayla had just texted me to tell me her father wanted to talk to her too. The way he had been over text had made her a little nervous because it was not like him to almost demand she videocalled him.
