Chapter 35 Mason, the Madman

Sloane reacted in a flash, twisting her body to the side. Mason, too drunk to stop himself, stumbled forward and crashed hard to the ground with a dull thud.

He struggled to his feet, eyes bloodshot, glaring at Sloane with a vicious snarl. “Little bitch… you’re just as hateful as Lucas.” He swayed as he stood, cursing under his breath.

Sloane had already realized that the door had been locked from both sides- Mason from inside, and someone else from outside.

“Don’t waste your strength. You’re not getting out,” Mason sneered, eyes gleaming with malice. Ever since Lucas had woken up, Mason had lost all his footing in the company. Just today, all the men he’d planted in the group had been wiped out. He had nothing left.

He hadn’t planned this. Tonight was supposed to be about getting drunk. But when he heard that Lucas’s fiancée was here too, everything changed. The guy who told him was right–this was the perfect chance for revenge.

“Lucas thinks he’s untouchable? I’ll sleep with his fiancée tonight and make him the laughingstock of all Stonebridge!”

Mason had completely lost his mind, driven by a single twisted goal–humiliate Lucas by violating Sloane.

Backed against the glass door, Sloane stared him down, eyes locked on the lunatic charging toward her.

A sharp scream of pain cut through the night.

The sound of it made Jill and Cameron, who were rushing to the scene, feel a chill run down their spines.
