Chapter 66 Forum Frenzy

Cameron held his phone up to Jill. On the screen was the forum post that had the entire school buzzing.

Someone had accused Sloane of using her connection with Lucas to secure her special admission spot. They even claimed she’d gotten the test answers from him in advance. The post pointed out she’d scored 745 on the special admissions exam -higher than this year’s SAT valedictorian.

The post also dug into her past, exposing that she’d dropped out of middle school and accusing her of a chaotic private life. There were all kinds of nasty, unverified allegations.

“Bullshit!” Jill scrolled through the post, her face burning red with fury. “This is total garbage! Sloane is nothing like what they’re saying!”

She balled her fists and turned, ready to storm off and confront whoever had written it.

But before she could break through the crowd, a ripple of noise spread.

“They’re here–the academic office is here!”

No one knew who shouted it, but heads instantly swiveled toward the approaching staff.

With serious expressions, the faculty quickly pinned the results to the notice board. In a flash, the crowd went dead silent. Every eye zeroed in on the single sheet of paper.

Jill forgot all about the post. She rushed to the front and scanned the list–Sloane’s name was right there at the top, with a massive 745 next to it. She was about to cheer when she sensed the mood around her shift.

The murmurs began immediately.
