For safety’s sake, Jill decided to stay in her dorm for the afternoon. The three of them had agreed to meet at the auditorium at six.

Meanwhile, Sloane received a call from Lena and headed out to view the house Lena had prepared.

“You found a place this quickly?” Sloane followed the location pin Lena had sent her.

Lena smiled as she opened the door. “Ever since you confirmed you’d be attending Stonebridge, I started house–hunting. I looked at quite a few places, but this one seemed perfect–close to campus, quiet. I went ahead and bought it.”

She led Sloane through the entryway. The living room was spacious and filled with natural light. The decor was elegant and tasteful, and the home was fully furnished.

After touring the rooms, they made their way to the garage.

“For convenience,” Lena said, opening the door, “this is your car.” A sleek new vehicle sat inside. “I know you don’t want to draw attention, so it’s not overly flashy.”

Sloane nodded in approval. “Looks good. I’ll find time to get my driver’s license.”

“Should I arrange a private instructor for you?” Lena offered.

“No need,” Sloane replied, waving her off. “I’ll just find a proper driving school.”
