Whitney collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down her face. She knew better than anyone -Larry never changed his mind. And this time, she was really finished.

Larry turned back to his desk, picked up the phone, and said coldly, “Come in and escort Ms. Whitney out.”

The secretary quickly entered, gently helping Whitney to her feet. “Ms. Whitney, let’s go.”

Whitney stumbled out of the office with the secretary’s support.

That same day, bodyguards escorted her onto a plane.

But later, the bodyguards waiting to receive her overseas called Larry–they reported that Whitney had gone missing.

Whitney had no idea when she’d passed out. When she woke up, she found herself lying in a pitch–dark forest.

Towering trees surrounded her on all sides, their thick branches and leaves blocking out most of the sunlight. Only a few scattered beams filtered through, landing faintly on the forest floor. In the distance, the low growls of wild animals echoed—like something could leap from the shadows at any moment.

Her heart clenched, her entire body trembling.

“Help! Is anyone there? Help!” Whitney shouted, her voice ringing through the empty forest— yet no reply came.

The growling sounds grew louder, closer. Her heartbeat nearly stopped.
