Chapter 405 Needles and Heart Eyes

“Left turn ahead!” Lucas suddenly pointed toward an emergency exit.

Without hesitation, Jaime swerved sharply; the car shot up the ramp at an almost vertical angle. The rear tires spun for a split second before regaining traction, and the vehicle burst out of the parking structure like an arrow loosed from a bow, merging into the night traffic.

“Lost them!” Jaime let out a long breath, though his hands on the steering wheel still trembled slightly.

Sloane only then realized that her back was drenched in cold sweat. She glanced down at Shawn and saw that, though still unconscious, his breathing had steadied.

When they arrived, Sloane immediately got to work.
