Immediately after arriving at the office, I remembered I wanted to talk to Eric about our side gig. Just as I was about to call Eric, he came in.

Eric said excitedly, "I have good news."

I asked, "Yeah?"

"A few days ago, didn't I tell you that our designer collectibles were selling well? Do you remember?" Eric asked as he leaned in.

I nodded and said, "Of course."

"It boosted our merchandise sales, too!"

A rough calculation showed that Annalise's income for the following month could reach tens of millions or even a hundred million dollars. That meant Eric could get a large share of the commission, too.

Eric's heart pounded. In the past, he never would've imagined himself to make so much money from working as an employee.

"Now, the sales figures for the comics and other merchandise have increased significantly. The publishers are increasing their production, and I heard that they've been working overtime. They're paying a hefty overtime salary, too.

"Even so, they could not keep up with the demand. The publisher is starting to ask other publishing companies for help. The same goes for our other merchandise."

When Eric first worked on the project with Annalise's comic, he thought Zane was trying to please Annalise. Eric genuinely didn't think that the project would bring in any profit.
