If there was one safe ground for Sebastian in all the mess between Derrick and Marie, it was how he addressed her.

If he just gave the order, would they really refuse to cooperate? Was hiding all this about Tessa really worth it? And for what–some kind of performance? Playing at theatrics? Ashen Pact wasn’t a stage. That place was a dump. You wanted to raid it, you just did. No drama required. So what if Marie’s reaction wasn’t perfectly genuine? This was Abraham of Falvaria.
