Upon hearing Sophia’s rejection, Old Mrs. Constance sighed and explained, “Actually, it’s Old Mrs. Blackwell who wants to invite you to a meal through me. After you got a good result from the fortune-telling for them, their business started picking up. Therefore, she wants to thank you personally.”

Sophia smiled. “There’s no need to thank me since I have taken such an expensive item from them. Moreover, I got the result out of luck, and it didn’t cost me anything, so she doesn’t have to thank me.”

Old Mrs. Constance sighed. “Despite what you have said, she now regards you to be their benefactor. Since she’s so hospitable, it’s really inappropriate that you don’t come over.”
