Chapter 1517 Investment

The two messages that Cindy had received explained the pros and cons of both investment projects in great detail.

After reading the messages, she vaguely remembered that Gary had introduced these two projects to her earlier today. He seemed to have said that these two projects have good investment prospects.

Just as she hesitated on whether to reply to his message, she received a call from him.

A moment of shock later, she quickly stood up and announced, “I need to head outside to take a call.”

Naomi was a little surprised by Cindy’s reaction. “You can just answer the call here.”

However, without even saying anything, Cindy left the room with her phone.

Ian then took a sip from the teacup in front of him before he smiled faintly. “I guess it’s something personal.”

“What is it that’s so personal to her that we can’t even listen?” Aurora furrowed her brows.

“Who knows?” he answered vaguely.

After exiting the room, Cindy took a deep breath before she answered the call, “Hello, Mr. Frye.”

On the other end of the phone, there was a hint of joy in Gary’s voice. “Did I disturb you?”

“No, not at all. It’s fine. I’ve read the messages that you sent to me earlier. They both look good, but I’m not an expert at this, so you can choose whichever one is the best. Then, I’ll transfer the money to you.”

Upon listening to her, he couldn’t help but sigh. “You really aren’t vigilant at all. I can’t tell whether you are being sincere or stupid.”

She smiled. “In that case, you can say that I’m being sincere.”




























He chuckled for a second as she had actually amused him. “Alright. Since you trust me so much, it would be rude for me to cheat you out of your money.”

At the same time, Cindy also wanted to giggle because she could feel that Gary was genuinely trying to help her.

Otherwise, according to his status, he could have found someone with a bigger fund instead of wasting his time on a small investor like her.

“If you help me to earn a lot of money from this, I’ll treat you to a meal,” she said.

Immediately, he agreed to her promise. “Okay. Then, I’ll be waiting for that meal of yours.”

After that, both of them killed the call.

Cindy was so delighted that she began to hum when she returned to the room with her phone in hand.

Upon seeing her expression, Aurora asked, “Who was she on the phone with earlier? It seems like she is very happy talking to that person.”

Ian raised his eyes and glanced at Cindy without saying a word.

When Cindy sat down and placed her phone on the table, she looked around and asked, “Why are you all looking at me? The food is already here.”

“Who were you on the phone with just now? Why did you have to sneak out to answer it? Also, why are you so happy after answering the call?” Aurora was the first to speak.

After listening to the questions, Cindy furrowed her brows. I think that I was quite open when I answered the call. Why does she mean by me sneaking out? Therefore, she honestly answered, “It was Gary. He was talking to me about the investment and we have settled it.”
