The waiter came back up with a glass of warm water. When he saw Ian, he asked, “Are you alright, sir? Here, have some warm water. It might help.”

No, it wouldn’t. Ian would rather get himself drunk again and forget about the whole affair, but that was just him running away from the issue.

The waiter didn’t know what he had in mind, and he handed Ian the glass of water. Ian didn’t want to refuse, as it would seem rude, so he took it and finished the water. Honestly, it did help a little. His stomach felt a lot better. A moment later, he asked, “Where’s Logan and the others?”

The waiter knew that question was coming, so he said, “Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson stayed for the night last night. They’re both downstairs. The madam is already up as well. They’re chatting downstairs.”

Madam? Oh, Aurora. Ian nodded. “I see.” He turned toward the restroom. There was a bathroom inside, and it came with toiletries. After Ian went in, he locked the door, sighed, and took a bath.
