Chapter 1833 Reputation

As for normal artists who were lacking in fame, if they caused so much trouble every once in a while, Hannah would go crazy.

Cindy had also witnessed the personal meetings Hannah had held. In those meetings, Hannah wouldn’t even hold back on her criticism. Ian, however, had less of a concern. “She has always known that I’m not much of a work-centric person.”

Actually, he did have a proper work attitude in the early stages of his career. The entertainment industry was a good place to be; at least the money came easily.

He was in dire need of money then, so he aimed to hit the jackpot in the entertainment industry. He thought that he could confidently leave the Morgan Family if and only if he had enough money on him.

However, when he eventually saw the dark side of the entertainment industry, he suddenly lost interest in staying. Hence, his attitude toward work took a negative turn.

Hannah was a sharp-eyed person, so she must have noticed it. The next day, Cindy and Ian went to the company to find little people there. When they saw Ian coming over, they greeted him the way they always did.

Their gazes toward Cindy were also the same as always, with a dubious touch to them. Cindy nodded as she greeted them in return, then followed Ian all the way to the meeting room.

Ian had called Hannah beforehand, but the latter hadn’t arrived yet, so Cindy and Ian took their seats in the meeting room.

The door to the meeting room was closed, and Cindy lowered her voice as she said, “I heard the company took in some more pretty boys recently.”

Ian wasn’t too concerned about these things. “They have had so many audition shows recently, and the winners are all very talented. Surely the company won’t sit by and watch.”

When he first joined an audition show, their current company had set its sights on a few contestants in the same show. In the end, however, only Ian got the contract. Some talents were dropped by the company after some consideration, whereas others went to other companies which offered better deals.

Cindy nodded. “I’m just wondering which of them would get the most support from the company.”

Ian understood Cindy’s worries, so he smiled as he reached out to pat Cindy’s head. “Surely you’re not worrying about me at this point?”

As soon as he finished speaking, the door to the meeting room opened, and Hannah walked in with documents in hand. Cindy was surprised by Hannah’s sudden appearance, so she subconsciously recoiled from Ian and swatted his hand away.

Ian stared at Cindy, his expression falling somewhere between smiling and not. Hannah didn’t notice the interaction between the two. Her phone was in her other hand, and she walked in while she was on the phone, so her gaze was trained on the floor. Cindy gave Ian a warning glare, then adjusted herself and sat upright.

Hannah walked over and sat down, then spoke a little more into her phone before hanging up. After that, she stared at Ian and Cindy, then let out a breath. “I see that you’re in quite a good condition yourselves. I take it that your days weren’t as horrible as I thought they were?”

Ian nodded. “It was fine, actually.”
