Chapter 1849 This Is a Pirate Ship

Cindy shook her head. “Actually, I can understand. For such a big company, the requirements must be stricter, so I have to hone my skills elsewhere.”

Gary's expression was flat as he responded, “I’m in contact with the boss of that company and we had dinner together before. The boss is a good man, and there are indeed a few big-name designers in his company. If you can really get in, you will learn more than you would at other companies.”

She didn't think too much and simply agreed. However, Ian's expression became a little more serious as he turned his head to look at Cindy. “It's okay, there are quite a few other good companies, so let's check them out first. If it really doesn't work, I will send you to further your studies and we’ll try again. There will always be a way.”

Cindy laughed. “Yes, yes, I know.”

The topic then ended like that before the conversation landed on returning to the entertainment industry. After she ate for a while, the dinner was about to end. Ian and Gary didn't drink, so the meal didn’t last long. Gary paid the bill again this time. To be honest, she felt a little embarrassed because she always said that she wanted to invite him to dinner, but it was him who finally paid for the meal every time.

However, Gary didn't think much about it. “You’ve been away for so long, so just treat it as me welcoming you back.”

Cindy repeated what she had said before, “Next time. Next time I will treat you to dinner.”

Like before, Gary also nodded. “Okay, let's have dinner again next time.”

It was already dark outside after they left the hotel. Gary originally wanted to drive Ian and Cindy home, but Ian declined while explaining that he wanted to take a walk with Cindy. It was normal for couples to hang out together after dinner, so Gary didn't say anything else and merely nodded before bidding them adieu. Waiting for Gary to drive away, Ian took Cindy's hand and they walked along the road. “Do you really want to be a designer apprentice?”

Cindy was also hesitant and couldn’t make up her mind. “I want to go to that company tomorrow to ask about it. This time. I will bring all the certificates and academic qualifications with me. If it really doesn't work, forget it.”

She was very chill about it and would only make a little effort, and if she couldn’t succeed, she wouldn’t pursue it anymore. Ian hesitated for a while before he agreed and said, “If you don't go, I will feel more at ease. I want to come back after filming and see you still by my side.”

Cindy hugged Ian's arm and questioned, “If I tender my resignation to Hannah, do you think she will arrange another female assistant for you?”
