Chapter 1876 Family Circumstances

To the reporters, Ian’s unexpected replies were akin to slaps on their faces. Originally, when the media crowded around, they were worried that Ian would make things difficult for them, but Ian’s attitude this time was unexpectedly nice.

Since Ian was being friendly, the media responded kindly. They asked pleasant and harmless questions instead of tricky ones. Ian’s hand was on Cindy’s shoulder all the time, and the two seemed comfortable together.

The two also exchanged smiles occasionally when they were answering the questions from the media. The emotions expressed through tiny details were actually the truest ones.

The journalists weren't great in number, but they weren’t few either. If they were allowed to ask questions without end, Ian and Cindy wouldn’t know when they would be able to leave.

Even though there wasn’t much traffic in the amusement park, it still wouldn’t be ideal to attract unnecessary onlookers.

So, after Ian answered a few questions, he put his arm around Cindy and walked to the side of the road. As he walked, he said, “It’s getting late, so please excuse us. Let’s continue the topic when we meet again, if possible.”

The media naturally followed them in hopes of squeezing in another question or two. There was a cab by the road, so Ian took Cindy over there and let her get into the car first. Then, Ian turned around to look at the media people.

He took off his mask and said to those people, “Be careful not to squeeze each other so much. We’ll have a chance to talk next time. It really is getting late today, and it’s not the right place to hold such conversations. If we attract onlookers, it will cause more trouble. I hope you understand. Goodbye.”

With that, he turned around and got into the cab as well.

In the past, when Ian was swarmed by people, the media would slam against the door of the cab after Ian got into the car. This time, however, the reporters seemed to be quite reasonable as they backed off and allowed some space for the cab Ian was in. Without any hesitation, the cab drove off.

Cindy took off her mask and giggled. “I wonder what happened today. The fans we met were so understanding, and the media was so nice too. It’s a good day today.”

Ian exhaled slowly, his expression still a little uneasy. “To be honest, I really don’t want to face those media people; who knows what sorts of people they are? They might take my words out of context or read too much into everything. It’s too hard to talk to them.”

Cindy scooted over and leaned against Ian’s shoulder, chuckling. “You’ll have to face them someday, so learn a thing or two while you can.”

Ian didn’t respond. After a while, he suddenly piped up, “Everything I told the media just now is true.”

Cindy didn’t quite understand what Ian meant by that, so she just gave a casual response. “Oh, it’s true. All right. Got it.”
