Chapter 2077 Valerie Is Probably One of Them

Cindy's limbs felt somewhat weak then. "I'm really worried that you are endangering yourself," she grumbled.

"You don't know men," Ian replied with a laugh. "Some abilities are god-given. I can't get rid of it, no matter what."

She decided that his nonsense was not worth her time and found a comfortable position before she fell asleep.

It was probably because of Ian's relentless love-making that she managed to fall into a deep sleep.

Her stay at the guesthouse for the last two days always ended with her dreaming in her sleep by the end of the day. However, her sleep tonight was not interrupted by any dreams and she slept all the way until her body was well-rested.

By the time that she woke up, Ian was already sound asleep next to her. He seemed to have fallen asleep in exhaustion as well.

The corners of Cindy's lips slowly lifted into a smile as she looked at him. Thinking that he must have acted the way he did because he still liked her, and seeing as to how he still wanted her body, she guessed that his heart was probably still with her.

She couldn't help but acknowledge how wretched she was being, but then, she felt that her thoughts made full sense.

Still tired after waking up, but not enough for her to fall back to sleep, Cindy didn't move as she rested for a while longer before she eventually groped for her phone in the dark.

As she was reaching out to get her phone, she noticed that her phone was placed together with Ian's. She hesitated for a bit before finally deciding to take his phone as well.

Cindy knew the password needed to unlock the phone, but instead of keying it in, she only lit up the screen, where she saw the screensaver with no notifications of a missed call or unread message.

She eventually put his phone down after thinking for a while. Then, she turned to look at her phone, but even after scrolling through the articles, she couldn't locate anything that particularly caught her interest. She couldn't stop herself when she reached for Ian's phone a second time. After gingerly unlocking the phone, she started to go through his call history.

While Cindy didn't see Valerie's name amongst the different people whom he had been in contact with lately, there were, however, a few unsaved phone numbers that had been appearing repeatedly within the list.

Valerie is probably one of them, she thought.

She was slightly relieved by the fact that Ian hadn't saved Valerie's number.

Seeing as to how he didn't delete his call history, he most definitely didn't do anything that he would feel guilty about. Him not saving Valerie's contact was probably also because he didn't see the need for it.

Cindy took a deep breath before exhaling. She then clicked out of the call log and went to his chats on WhatsApp instead. He didn't have a lot of connections on Whatsapp because he was neither someone who was good at making friends nor good at maintaining relationships with other people. He wouldn't reach out and chat with others even if he had added them into his WhatsApp friend list.

She scrolled through the names that had chatted with Ian before and eventually found Valerie's name.

Unlike Valerie's phone number, Ian had saved her name on Whatsapp after Valerie added him on the application.

When Cindy discovered that, she let out a small noise of dissatisfaction. After she clicked into the chat, she noticed that Ian hadn't deleted their conversations. She was able to read everything that Valerie and Ian had ever texted each other about.

Fortunately, there wasn't anything suspicious that Cindy could find from their conversation.

Most of the conversation was work-related whereas the others were about Ian being hospitalized after getting hurt, or Valerie asking about his recuperation and later discharge from the hospital.
