Chapter 30

Wilma grasped Nancy's cold fingertips, her voice firm and slightly teasing, "Give it a few more years, and I'll pass all my shares to my lovely daughter-in-law. That'll make Nancy the new CEO. If you've got any sense, you'll know who's calling the shots here!"

Just a trinket was not worth the daylight. Wilma couldn't be bothered to meddle in such trivialities unless it was over the line.

Nancy's gaze faltered, looking at Wilma, not joking, and her eyes dropped in resignation.

It would be a pity that she wouldn't be 'CEO' of the Gordon Group anymore. In a few days, she could leave all this behind. And she would never have to see Cyrus again!

Perhaps Wilma, as a mother-in-law, liked her, but she favored Cyrus more. Otherwise, she would have advised her to divorce Cyrus instead of pushing them together and suggesting they have a child.

Hayley's face turned ghostly pale. She clearly understood Wilma had deliberately spoken these words for her to hear, leaving her with nothing but bitterness. Just as she was about to retort, Cyrus' deep voice interrupted, "Mom has spoken. Let's follow her advice. Hayley, you should go rest, and let Norton take good care of you."

Hayley's expression shifted again, involuntarily glancing at Cyrus, "Bu-"
