"Then please, let Cyrus off the hook for me. Consider it repaying a favor." Nancy thought desperately, but she knew Wilma well. Wilma would never let Cyrus divorce her. And Cyrus wouldn't agree to it, either. So, she had no choice but to leave in a drastic manner like that.

Cyrus stood outside the door with an inscrutable look in his eyes. He should have felt relieved, but instead, his heart felt inexplicably heavy, as if Nancy had uncovered something.

But if Nancy had known about the issues between him and Hayley, she would have asked for a divorce by then, not continue to profess her love for him! So, was Nancy just testing his mother?

Next, he would have to hide Hayley better. Cyrus thought with a heavy heart, and without going in to get the documents, he turned around and left.

Hours later, Nancy, Cyrus, and Wilma had lunch at the company. Wilma found an excuse to leave while Cyrus was busy with work. Nancy, bored, sat in Cyrus' office.
